In order to catch up from missed matches earlier in the season, TZ Ostrovia and Start Gniezno have had two matches in a two days.
Ostrow had the upperhand coming into tonight's fixture as they won at home in yesterday's match against Gdansk, whilst Gniezno were away again having lost last night in Rybnik.
And despite Oliver Berntzon (9) falling in the first heat, the home side continued in dominant style taking a total of five 5:1 wins before the night over. The guests were only able to muster two heat advantages during the meeting and it was their Danish rider, Frederik Jakobsen (9) who top scored for the team with Finland's Timo Lahti (7) having a poor race for him. With the match already lost Gniezno gave their #8 Sweden's Philip Hellström-Bängs his first taste of eWinner 1 speedway. The (just) 18 yrs old Masarna rider scored 1 from his two heats when he overtook Ostrovia's Daniel Kaczmarek to claim a 2:4 with Lahti in Heat 11.
Meanwhile the home team ripped up the shale to run out winners by a commanding 59:31. Polish rider Tomas Gapinski top scored with 13 and Danish duo Nicolai Klindt (11, pictured) and Patrick Hansen (8+4) causing the damage. The younger Hansen scored a paid maximum from his four rides and excelled in blocking out oppostion riders, including the luckless Lahti.
