SDHL: Elite sportswomen can work with Scandic in new deal

From 3 February Scandic Hotels have opened up for a new opportunity for elite women's athletes to work at the same time as women alongside their involvement in a variety of sports including football, ice Hockey, handball and basketball.

The Swedish national sports' federation have been working together with Scandic to design a job that to give the athletes flexible terms and conditions to allow them to combine work, training and matches.

"The SDHL are very positive, together with Scandic and the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation (SIF), to be part of this project which gives players the opportunity to combine an elite career and work in the best possible environment. It is a step in the right direction for both the girls and the league to be even better," said Angelica Lindeberg, above, the commercial manager at SDHL, who is also the team manager at Djurgården IF women's hockey team.

If you want to apply for a job with Scandic you need to be verified by the SIF who can be contacted via email: elitidrott@swehockey.se
